Ultrasound

Please refer to these instructions when preparing for a scheduled exam.

Abdomen

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Abdominal Aorta

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. .

Biopsy

• No Blood Thinners or Aspirin for 1 week prior to exam.

Common Bile Duct

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Cyst Aspiration

• No Blood Thinners or Aspirin for 1 week prior to exam.

Gallbladder

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Liver

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Pancreas

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Pelvic / Intravaginal Pelvic

• Finish drinking 32 oz of water 1 hour prior to exam. Do not urinate until after the exam.
