MRI Elastography
First in San Antonio to offer Liver MRI Elastography!
Early Detection of Liver Disease
- Fatty liver disease affects 20-30% of Americans1
- Hepatitis affects 5 million Americans1
- Both fatty liver and hepatitis can progress to Cirrhosis
MRI Elastography detects early effects of liver fibrosis before changes are visible on other imaging exams.2 Elastography provides a non-invasive, safe global assessment of the entire liver and is performed as part of a comprehensive liver MRI. In addition to early detection, MRI Elastography provides a quantitative measurement of total liver stiffness and aids in selecting area for tissue biopsy. Highly reliable measurements are provided with little test-retest variation with results that may guide adjustments in patient therapy.
